Welcome

A Village of Quilters…

Here is your chance to belong to a talented, accepting and lively group who share a love of quilts and an interest in learning. At each monthly meeting we discuss the guild’s business, upcoming events and speakers who will teach, inform and challenge us in new ways.

We are a diverse group of quilters who range from true beginners to professionals in the field. For just $30 a year anyone can become member and enjoy all of the benefits!

We meet 10 months of the year (September through June), always on the third Thursday from 10 am – 2 pm. New members must complete the Membership Form here. Guests are welcome for a fee of $3 and should be paid to the Membership Chair at the time of arrival.

SERVICE

846cf7e2 B58e 4e18 Ae5f 91af2d61b23c 150x150
We are a proud supporter of Project Linus by providing “warmth and comfort to children who are seriously ill, traumatized, or otherwise in need.” Village Quilters devote one meeting during the year to come together and finish quilts for Project Linus. This meeting provides a rewarding and fun service opportunity for the benefit of children. Our members are very generous by donating their time, talent, and fabric to bring a smile to children in need of a quilted hug.

Every year Village Quilters donate over 120 quilts to our local Project Linus chapter. Project Linus then delivers our beautiful quilts to hospital NICU, PICU & Pediatric ERs departments, local government departments providing children’s services, homeless shelters, children attending Head Start, and children of service personnel at Fort Meade. Project Linus also works with companies such as Sleep in Heavenly Peace and Home Of Our Own who provide children beds and bedding for families moving from shelters to homes.
